Jadiann is a 4 time Emmy-award winning journalist. She can be seen from 4-5PM, 5:30-6PM, 6:30-7PM and 9-10PM Monday through Friday. She is part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced newsroom covering everything from the local news of the day to national and international stories.
Jadiann joined 7News in June of 2015 as the weekend evening anchor and weekday reporter. She was quickly promoted to weekday anchor.
Prior to that, Jadiann was the 6pm weekday anchor for the NBC affiliate in Kansas City – KSHB TV. In addition to anchoring every weekday, she reported for the evening newscasts. Many of those days, Jadiann was a multimedia journalist which meant she ran her own camera while reporting. Her favorite days were when the 6pm newscast she was anchoring started with a story she pitched, shot, wrote and edited.
While in Kansas City, Jadiann was honored with two Emmy awards. One Emmy was for best anchor in the region and one was for her piece on the FCC considering loosening restrictions on in-flight cell phone use.
Before KSHB Jadiann was a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KPHO-TV in Phoenix, AZ. She won her first Emmy award for a report on WiFi hacking. During her time in Phoenix, Jadiann covered the country’s self-proclaimed toughest sheriff, Joe Arpaio, and the Jodi Arias trial. She reported heavily on immigration reform and spent nearly two weeks on the front lines covering the Wallow Fire, Arizona’s largest wildfire in state history.
Jadiann got her start in television news at KTWO-TV in Casper, WY. She joined KTWO first as a multimedia journalist and was promoted to executive producer and main anchor of the stations 5 pm, 6 pm & 10 pm newscasts within a year. She also spent time as the assistant news director at the station.
Right out of college, Jadiann taught English as a second language in Madrid, Spain.
She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas where she studied broadcast journalism. During her time in college, Jadiann interned on Capitol Hill for Congressman John Boozman who is now a US Senator.
Jadiann loves riding horses, travel (sometimes solo) and being involved in the community. She spends much of her free time as an emcee for charity events and works closely with ALS groups.
Pete Frates inspired the Ice Bucket Challenge that helped ALS gain international attention. As a result, millions of dollars have been donated to help find a cure and raise awareness. Jadiann's grandmother (Joann) died from ALS. She has worked closely with ALS groups all over the country in honor of Joann and always will. She frequently talks about what an honor it was to know Pete and work closely with his family to continue his fight.
This is one of many in a series called "Who Did It Better?" Jadiann would go out with a local celebrity to perform a task and the viewers would cast a vote on who they thought did it better.
The Sports Director and Jadiann would present fantasy football picks for the regular season in this once a week series.
Jadiann and her co-anchor Ryan were invited to perform with the Boston Pops reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
Jadiann was asked to be on the cover of "The Improper Bostonian" with a full interview about her path starting as a first-generation college student to being in one of the nation's top markets.
Jadiann rode 280 miles in 3 days to raise money for a cause very close to her heart - ALS awareness and research. Jadiann's grandmother died from ALS when she was a little girl. She honors her grandmother's memory by always working for a cure.
A local couple named their new bundle of joy after their favorite news anchor.
